Bits and pieces
Here I am in my bedroom reading! I have been able to read in my head for years but not really realised it... over the last few days I have been reading lots of books in my head and even read 57 pages of one book on the way to the zoo!
Sylvie and baby Davy came to visit at the weekend. I had a hunger meltdown just as we were about to eat. After a good scream I cheered up a lot and had fun. Sylvie and I were dancing and doing gymnastics in my bedroom! I got a brilliant microscope from her that makes everything look much BIGGER!
I am seeing my friend Tyan soon. I wrote her a little letter today without any help. I think my writing and punctuation is very good! It says "To Tyan. Do you want to go for a swim with me? Love Sophie"

Another Story
Little Orca
Chapter 1
Little Orca was out on the cold ice, he was cold and hungry and all alone. Just then he heard a bumpy noise. “I’m not alone after all” he said.
He looked but he couldn’t find anyone. He floated off and didn’t hear the terrible noise.
He met Ray, they wanted to get out of the icy water. Poor Little Orca, he was scared. “Can you not hear our Mummys and Daddys?” said Ray, “Oh yes we can, but Little Orca doesn’t know where they are, we have to help him”. The whole sea was filled with noise.
“Mother” he called, “oh, now he knows their call”. They went and looked for her, “but you are still alone Little Orca”. So he came back and had to sort everything out. Then they heard the terrible dreadful noise again, “yay, I’m out” Little Orca’s mother cried. “We love you Little Orca.” Just as that happened, Tiger Shark swam down making that terrible noise and tried to eat Little Orca. Then Tiger Shark ate Salmon again, he is a naughty Tiger Shark you know.
Chapter 2
The next day they all had school and had to learn seagull language, they went swimming after that. Little Orca practised his whale swimming. “You have stand like a person and then go onto your back and start paddling using your arms and kicking. Move your legs up and down” said her Daddy, “I don’t have legs or arms” said Orca. “Ok, just use your fins and tail” said her Daddy gently in a nice voice. “It is going to be ok” said her daddy in a daddy voice. Little Orca was having so much fun jumping out the water and pretending to be a dolphin.
“We’re coming” he shouted to his friends, “what, what, what?” said Cardinal as he blew his water out, “we’re going to a party, get out the pool, we need to go” replied Little Orca.

Gymnastics Display and some funnies!
Last week I went to see Madagascar 2 at the cinema. It was a really good film though I got a bit scared in one part. We then went for a very nice Chinese meal afterwards.
Here are a few of my recent 'funnies'...
Aiti- we can't go to Homebase today as you spent too long eating your lunch, we'll go to tomorrow instead
Sophie- that was going to be my suggestion
Sophie- Are there any breadsticks at home?
Aiti- No, you ate them all
Sophie- well, that is going to be unsatisfying then
Sophie- 5.....7....6......5......7.....6......5 7 6 5 7 6
Aiti- huh?
Sophie- there is pattern on the cheese grater... 5 holes, 7 hole, 6 holes, 5 holes, 7 holes, 6 holes
Sophie "daddy, the speed limit is 30 here. You concentrate on driving and I'll concentrate on telling you the speed limits"
"I need a poo but I don't want to do my poo in Tescos...I want to go to Cannons (swimming pool) and weigh myself, then have a poo and then weigh myself again. How much will my poo weigh?"
In the supermarket "Yummy, 2 bags of 8 croissants, that makes 16, if I had 8 bags of 8 then that would be 64 croissants, imagine 64 croissants"
Aiti- Are you listening to me?
Sophie- Yes, I'm just not taking any notice

A story!
“We can nearly swim in this pond” salmon said, “we absolutely can”
“I can swim here” said wobbegong, “oh dear”
“Help” yelled salmon and then he was caught “Help me” he called
“We’re coming” replied his friends “oh thanks” said salmon
He was paddling there in the pond and he was the only one in there
“Hellooooooo” called something, “helloooooo”
Seal was up above the water, “what is the matter” he called
Seal swam deeper and deeper, the water was getting colder. He swam into otter, “oh sorry” said seal, “I’m looking for the hellooooo voice”
The hellooooo voice was salmon who needed help.
“Yes, right then” otters mum said “let’s have a race to save salmon”
They swam and swam until they came to the calling “help help help help help” was calling.
“Help help help”
Otter fluttered down to look “help” it kept calling. He was swimming towards a funny dark shape in the water.
“We’ll rescue you”
“Wait a minute they are putting more water in, we can now save salmon”
“Wait” yelled salmon, “where am I? I need to be back in the ocean”
“You’ll never get back there” replied otter, “you are in a pond”
“Wait for me”, salmon was very slippery and otter was trying to paddle with him, it was such a deep pond.
Just as they rescued Salmon, Tiger Shark swam up and ate him.

When Äiti was little..
I wanted to do some maths yesterday so I asked Äiti to write me some sums. She couldn't keep up with me working out the answers so quickly so gave me some hard sums like- 3+3= x+y and 2x2+X=5 and xy=21. As I was racing through the answers I decided to say the numbers and the colours of the magnets in French e.g Numero cinq in rouge!
We went for a nice walk yesterday in the cold, I collected lots of leaves, berries, twigs and stones. I came home and made a 'Christmas Bush'!

My new scooter and a letter to FC!
I am very tired right now, Äiti says I am suffering from 'End-of-term-itis'. I am sleeping quite well at night times and for the past two nights I haven't woken once, this is unheard of! I went to my school Christmas Fair on Friday night, I guessed the name of the shark and picked a few tickets in the tombola. I was too tired to do anything else.

Swimming news
After swimming today, I played a bit with my new friend Jessica. She is an excellent swimmer too. I then came home and ate loads of dinner as I was so hungry. I then wrote my other blog, then daddy read me the last chapter in my Sophie book.
Philosophy
1. If there were not clocks or watches in the world, would time still exist?
WHAT? Huh? No one would know what time it was because there would be nothing to tell them. The owls and foxes would still come out at night so we know it is night time. The sun shines in the day so it is day time.
2. If a tree fell in the forest, would it make a sound?
Yes...because it fell very loudly because it is a very big tree and went CRACK!
3. Do you think there are colors in the world that humans can't see, and that there are objects made out of those colors?
Some animals are camoflaged and cant be seen but I know they are there.
4. If you were trying to boil some water in a pot, would it take longer if you watched it?
No, just put the lid on, it is quite quick.
5. If you met a kid from Germany who only spoke German and you only spoke English but you both had learned how to read Japanese (but not speak it), would you be able to communicate?
No, but I could learn German.
