Reading with Expression

Here is a new video of me reading with lots of expression! The sound quality is not good so there is a transcript under the video.

Amber gasped “what’s that?” “I-I-I don’t know “ whispered Kai, “is it a crocodile?” They dived into the night, their eyes open wide as the sounds came closer RUSTLE CRACKLE SWISH “Run” growled Amber, “run as fast as you can”, laughing and bounding, faster and faster until the cubs raced through grass STOP cried Kai suddenly. In front of them the river so dark and deep. The cubs could go no further and the noise was getting nearer! With her ears flat and heads lowered the cubs turned and said together “we’re not afraid of you” they purred in their loudest fiercest voice. “Even if you are a crocodile”. The grasses rippled and snapped, then out stepped....Mother Tiger! “I’m not afraid of crocodiles anyway” Kai told his mother bravely. “Are you Amber?”, but Amber was fast asleep.

Me, myself and Iris!

Yesterday we went to visit my Great Granny Iris. She is Opa's äiti... äiti's daddy's äiti! I was born on March 3rd and Iris was born on March 4th exactly 80years before me! Opa (who has been visiting for a few days), Äiti and me all drove down to Iris' house. We had such a fun day...here are some moments.

Iris was reading my weather book to me:
I: ooo, this is a hard word, a cumilo....
Me: Cumulonimbus
I: Cumilo...
Me (slowly) Cumulonimbus

Me: I've got another idea
I: Gosh, you are clever to be having all these ideas
Me: Have you had any good ideas?

Me (whilst playing with pretend food): here you are, it is a sandwich
I: That is a very large sandwich, I dont think I can eat all that
Me: Don't worry, it is only pretend food, you can't eat plastic.

Me:Oh no, I've dropped a slice of bread, oh well, here is my sandwich
I: you can't have a sandwich with only one piece of bread
Me: You can if it is toast!

Me: Iris, do you like me?
I: Of course I do
I then leap around as I have a new friend.

It was such a nice day and I really want to go and see Granny Iris again.

The Eye

Here is my picture of an eye....
I have labelled ... eye lashes, the terrduct (tear duct), erus (iris), pupill (pupil) and eye brow.

France...again!

I went to France again...and again I loved it! We went out on the night boat and arrived at the house by lunch time. After we'd unpacked the car we went to the beach. I got naked and ran through the sea and played on the sand.
Over the week I went to the La Rochelle Aquarium and to the zoo. I also went to the beach lots and played in the sea. The weather was far warmer than expected. We took a trip to Decathlon where I decided I needed a bright lime green fleece. Äiti said it wasn't very nice but daddy bought it for me...I wear it whenever I want to be a lime! I also got a new pair of walking boots/shoes for when I go to the play park or ride my bike.

I loved playing in the garden, walking round the village at night looking for stars, going to the fish shops and being naked on the beach. It was a very relaxing holiday.
I took a new jigsaw with me- it had 300 pieces in it. I did most of the jigsaw myself and I was very pleased with my self for finishing it.
Here are some non-naked holiday pictures....

New Art Bits

I have discovered a great new way to draw... on the computer! Äiti showed me how to use MS Paint. I did these pictures...

I also made some parrots. I found a big bag of feathers in Tesco for £1. I then used lots of paint, glue and feathers to make my parrots!

I am still writing my other blog and it is going very well. I get loads of comments every day to moderate which I love.
Other news- I got a certificate from the library for reading lots of books. The librarian said I had read 625 books, which is a lot! I also saw my friend Kayne last week, we went to the park and played well together.

A fun weekend

This weekend I went off to 'Gifted Camp'. The weekend was run by the NAGC. I got to go and try lots of different classes and Äiti and Daddy got to go and learn things too! I really enjoyed making felt. I made a fish scene out of fleece and then had to felt it altogether. It took quite a while but it was fun. I also enjoyed the Woodland Wander. I collected lots of different leaves and conkers. I made a tree with all my findings.

I was quite sad that we couldn't stay up at the camp for longer, I have to wait until next year to go again. I also got to see my friend Sylvie again, she brought along her two Cattys! I got a lovely new dress and a cd from Sylvie. The dress has cats that look like Catty all over it! It fits me very well.

I got to try a few new games like 'Make n Break', Rush Hour and I got to play with these Wedgits- I think I may add these to my Christmas list!

A great new game!

At the weekend I got a great new game called 'Make n break'. It is very easy, but a lot of fun. Here I am playing it....

Please can I have purple, please can I have green, 2 greens please, they have to go there for white, ok, grey now, yellow...there, blue now, brown now, is than an orange on there... look where the card’s going, see I nearly broke it, can I have your card, daddy did you know what I’m going to do, did you see your card going through the machine to get it all clean...see it is all clean now. This is a machine, it gets cards clean, aiti, let me have your other cards, let me have those cards, I’m going to put them all through there one at a time......There we go. In they all go. Oh no I broke the machine, can you build the machine (again please).....(In silly voice) Orange... would you pass me grey, what am I actually making? It didn’t go like that, the grey. Yes, daddy can you pass me those two greens. Have I made it yet? Ok then , daddy would you pass me brown and afterwards can you get me the colour I want without me asking, where does this one go, I forgot, where does this one go.......Yellow! Where can I put yellow, I’ve got it upside down...sigh! Put that one there. The ones we don’t where it goes we have to put in there.

A new book

Last night I said I was going to write a book a bit like the 'War and Peace' one. It was going to be a chapter book without any pictures. I finished it off this afternoon.

My book is called 'Moose's Day'. Moose and his family stayed at home and did nothing!

They played cafes. They were not hungry. Moose went out and played in the garden.

He had a present. It was a pial, inside was pig food for his pet pig. The pig ate all his food and then rolled on the worms and did nothing.

Moose went inside and did some cooking, he made apple pie. Moose went to bed with out his pyjamas, he could not sleep.

My week was quite busy. On Monday I had gymnastics followed by a swimming lesson. On Tuesday I saw the Speech Therapist to assess my Receptive Language, I also went to the library and got some new books. On Wednesday I had school and then in the afternoon I had to have my injections. I wasn't very keen on the injections and cried most of the way home. My arm turned very red from my shoulder to my elbow, now it is turning purple. On Thursday I went to school and then I went swimming, then on Friday I went to school.

Yesterday we went shopping as Daddy needed new shoes. I managed to get some new purple trousers in size 2-3...I have grown out of my 18-24ms trousers finally! I also got some new tights (also in size 2-3yrs) and a new dressing gown because it is very cold in my house in the morning! I have really shot up recently. I haven't had new clothes in ages because I spent over a year in my 18-24ms stuff. Today, I went swimming, but the heating was broken so the pool was freezing, we stayed in for 25mins! After lunch we came home and I finished my book and played lots.
