Me and my cats

Here is a silly video of me with my cats.
As you can see,I do some strange counting...1 2 3 4 5 6 8 10...there were actually 10 cats there. I was looking at a page in a book about odd and even numbers and counting in 2s earlier today.

It has been an interesting week. Aiti joined a Gym which has a creche attached. I have been to the creche twice now and cried both times. Aiti has booked me in for some more sessions. I am starting school in January so need to practise being away from Aiti. She has only left me for 20mins so far so is building me up gently. I have only ever been away from Aiti and Daddy once on my life so this is all new to me.

Blog - a - log!

Last week it was half term here so all my classes/groups were cancelled. I did go to Emily's house to play which was fun. Emily has lots of Peppa Pig toys that I liked to play with. I also went to Kiera's house. I enjoyed playing with Kiera and also with Gemma, Aiti used to teach Gemma when she was 5, she is now 9yrs old. I really liked Gemma and talked about her a lot. I also went to LegoLand with Sam, I wasn't very happy all day as I was tired. I didn't talk all day but as soon as I got in the car I didn't stop talking and talking and talking and talking and .....

I went swimming yesterday. I was having a lot of fun in the pool until the lifeguard came over and said we had to evacuate the pool. Why? A child had done a poo in the pool! Yuk! We went in the big pool instead which wasn't very warm. I swam 50meters with my armbands on, I swam all the way to the deep end and back. I love swimming and I am really pleased that Aiti has joined a new Gym with a pool...we can swim more often now after I have been in the creche ... whatever that is, I'll find out next week!
Last night I didn't want to go to bed, I went to bed after my stories at 8pm. I carried on reading to my toys and at midnight I was still awake! This morning I got up at 7.30am. Sleep is for the weak!

Meerkats on Surfboards!

When I was in France I loved watching the surfers on their surfboards. To me they looked like meerkats as they kept falling off. Today I drew a picture of a meerkat on a surfboard.
In the picture my meerkat is wearing yellow sunglasses. The wavy blue line are the waves. The yellow is the sand, the blue blob is part if the sea.
Here is another picture I did today of RedCat in his garden surrounded by his flowers. The little green blob in the corner is a pea! The blue blob is the pond.

A rare photo!

Here is my daddy dressed in an England Rugby shirt!!! For those of you that don't know, my daddy is Scottish, so for him to be seen in an England shirt is unheard of...hence the reason he looks a little embarrassed! I have decided to try and write on my own without tracing over letters, here are some of the words I have written this week...I used my new skill as a stalling tactic to avoid going to bed! In order, they say... Sophie, Tiger, Kiwi, olives and broccoli.

Lots of updates!

Here are quite a few new bits and pieces!

Here is a new reading video. Today I took out my 200th book from the library- not bad in 11 weeks! Mummy has been trying to get me to read a bit slower, I think you'll hear a difference.

I drew this picture today. It is Red Panda's house. Aiti showed me with her finger how to draw the outline of the house, I did the rest myself without any prompting.

I also dictated a story to aiti today, I asked for a stripey background for my story.

I also made up a science experiment today. I decided to test things that floated and sank. I used Tiger's water bowl to begin with but made so much mess that aiti suggested that I used the sink instead. Here I am doing my experiments!

Bonjour, bonjour, bonjour!

For the last week I have been in France. Granny Val has a house there so we thought we'd go there for a short holiday. I had to go on the ferry to get there, we went overnight so I slept on the boat. We then drove to the house which is on the west coast of France. The house is in a small village about 8miles from the beach. The weather was quite good so we went to the beach everyday. We visited Les Sables d'Olonne Zoo which was one of the best zoos I have ever been to. I also went to a brand new aquarium which I loved. I saw lots of people surfing on the sea, I thought they looked like meerkats and lemurs on their surfboards! I read some books to Val everyday, cleared the apples and the pears off the ground in the garden, walked round the village lots, ate French food, picked up a few words of French and made a new friend on the boat coming home. It was a great holiday but I was very pleased to see daddy and Tiger again! Here are some photos of my short holiday... click on the link!!

I can write!

Exactly this time last year I asked Aiti and Daddy to write lots of words for me on paper. This was the start of me teaching myself to read. I would ask for a word to be written and then somehow I would remember it.
Today, a year later I asked Aiti to write some words in dots. By this, I mean writing words very faintly for me to go over. I wrote the names of all my cats- Mog, Rosie, Tiger, Pilchard, Cheeky Cat and honorary Catty. I was please with my writing.
After I did my writing I went to playgroup and bounced on the bouncy castle for 2 hours! I did stop briefly for some rectangle biscuits and purple juice. I then carried on bouncing!
After my lunch I made some name collars for all my cats and toys. Each cat got its own badge with it's name on. For this I used tracing paper. Here are Red Cat and Blue Cat with their collars. I also made some collars for Lemur and Meerkat....

I've lost my voice!

This was a story I wrote today on the computer. It was inspired by the frog in my throat...I have lost my voice!
It says "Daddy frog and aiti frog and baby frog all sat on a lilypad"
I woke up this morning full of snot, coughing and no voice, naturally Aiti took me to Toddler group!

This weekend I went to Marwell Zoo, it was excellent. I managed to get a lemur and a meerkat as a present from daddy. It was a great day out, I saw giraffes for the first time! I loved the penguin pool, the tigers, the lemurs, the meerkats, the otters and the golden marmosets. I could walk in the marmoset enclosure, I got so close to them.

Here is a new picture I drew today. Aiti walked in on me trying to get Tiger the cat to stay still so I could draw him. The picture is of Tiger in the flower garden. The flowers are up the sides, Tiger is in the middle, the line coming out of his head is his long tail! He has 4 legs and you can vaguely see his paws!. The horizontal blue line is the sky, I couldn't reach the top so I got my chair to draw the flowers.
