Trip to London

Sophie:
Daddy went to the Download Festival so we had friends over to stay for the weekend. We went to London one day and LegoLand the next. We visited the Natural History Museum, Hamleys, Regents Park, Piccadilly and China Town. In Hamleys I visited the pretend Ollivanders (Harry Potter) to look for a wand.
LegoLand was very wet but a lot of fun. I went on lots of rides, but Theo couldn't as he was too short. I got my photo taken with a life size Hagrid!

Theo:
I went on a train, a tube, a bus and in a car. I like things with wheels and got very excited on the train. This is what I repeated for the 75 minute journey.
"mummy look...look...look...digger....chooo chooo....look digger...look tractor.....look moooos...digger...chooo chooo....baaaaas....bus....look lorry....look chooo choooos"

Harry Potter mad!

Sophie:
I have turned into a Harry Potter fan! I read the first book whilst in France. I am now just about to finish book 3. I have watched the first film and really enjoyed it. I now own a Hermione robe, wand, scarf and tie. I wore this all to a party at the weekend and won first prize in the fancy dress competition.
I am making lots of potions and spells, mainly out on the garden. I am brewing potions, learning some spells from Hermione's spell book and generally emersing myself into the world of Potter!

Class Wedding

My class has been looking at Weddings for this terms topic. Today, we went to church and watched two children get married. We then went back to school and had a brunch! This term we planned the whole wedding from the hymn choices to the vows to the menu. I have loved the topic.
Here are some pictures from today:

Paultons Park

We went to Paultons Park last weekend, it was our second time though last time, Theo was too small to go on most of the rides. This time though he got to go on a few rides including a roller coaster! He went on it several times!

I went on most of the rides including the big scary rollercoaster. It was a great day and we were all very tired by the end.

My Kenya Holiday Diary

Here is the diary I had to write for school about my holiday.

Day 1
I am at the airport about to get dinner in Armadillo. We went to Boots to get toothbrushes and sunglasses for me.

Day 2
After sleeping on the airplane, we had breakfast before landing with a bump. We found out that Kenya is very poor. Then we went to room number 326. Next we went swimming and we got out the pool, I saw 1 lizard, 2 camels and a wasp in my drink!

Day 3
We woke up, had breakfast with 2 flies and I had omelette and 1.5 croissants. Next we went to the pool where we saw a dragon fly! Then we saw a camel who kissed me and headbutted me! The camels was called Charlie.

Day 4
It was an early start to the morning as we were on safari. Before that we had to have breakfast. Next we drove through the big and smelly streets of Mombasa to Tsavo East. We didn't see any lions, rhinos or cheetahs! After a second drive we saw elephants (lots), giraffe, zebra and lots of others (see page 18 for a list). Then we went back for dinner and a swim. Then we went to see the animals drinking hole, also called a water hole. We thought we saw a hippo, but it was really a water buffalo. On our way back to our room we saw 4 dung beetles and 1 landed in someones tea!!!

Day 5
First, it was an early start for another drive. We saw birds and animals by using binoculars. Then we saw a mummy lion which was the best bit. Next we headed back to Mombasa and had lunch. After that, we had a swim. But when we had dinner, I fell asleep on the table!

Day 6
It was raining when we woke up. Once the hot rained stopped, we had breakfast. Then me and mummy went on a glass bottomed boat to the coral reef where I fed the fish and mummy went diving. Next I saw parrot fish nibbling the boat and mummy made friends with 5 million zebra fish! We went back to the swimming pool, then we had lunch. After that we went across the road to a butterfly park where there were less butterflies than millipedes! We also saw monkeys, ants and 3 caterpillars.

Day 7
First we had breakfast before a swim. Mummy let me read a book which I finished. Then it was time for lunch. Next we got a taxi to Haller Park to feed giraffes which was fun. We also saw tortoises, monkeys, hippos and snakes. The tortoises were heavier than daddy, I know this because one climbed on a car and it took 8 men to get him off!

Jambo Kenya!

We went to Kenya!
Here are some photos of our trip. There are more on Facebook, so if you would like the link, please let Mummy know...even if you aren't on Facebook you can see the photos...Mummy has set it up that way!

I'm going to put my holiday diary on here so you can read about our trip.

So, here are just a few photos.

A huge catch up!

My handwriting suddenly improved...

Theo went to Bath with Opa....

Theo got a new bike...

We've also been camping in Dorset and the New Forest. Our biggest trip though was Kenya!

We've also been Geocaching a lot, but you can read about that at Mummy's blog

X-Factor Live!

Sophie:
This weekend, Mummy and I went to London for a day out. We went on the train and then the tube. The first place we went was the Apple shop, I loved this shop. We then went to Hamleys but there wasnt much I wanted to look at in there. We then went to the Wong Kei for lunch. Mummy has been going to this restaurant since she was about 5 years old!

We then got the tube to Wembly Arena where we saw X-Factor. I liked all the singers, the lights, the glow sticks, the confetti and the atmosphere. It was a great show.

World Book Day

Sophie:
My school had World Book Day this week. I went as Mog the Cat (again). Theo came with me to the bus and wore a cat suit too, he was desperate to wear it so Mummy let him.

Happy 6th Birthday!

Sophie:
I am now 6! Last week I finally had my brithday, I've been counting down the days for months now.
For my birthday I got a pink Nintendo DSi, I really like it and have played it a bit. Theo got me a small FurReal kitten that I love.
Val and Michael came over for my brithday tea and even Daddy came home early. I didn't get to have a party this year for a few reasons.
